Colville

Colville is a close-knit community located in beautiful northeast Washington. Home to 5,000 residents and surrounded by forests, mountains, and river valleys, Colville RTT students benefit from year-round recreational opportunities including hiking, skiing, climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and cultural opportunities only available in a small, mountain community—yet Spokane, with a regional population of nearly 400,000 and “big city” benefits is only a 90-minute drive away.

Providence Health and Services operates two hospitals and five clinics in the region, serving a population 40,000 people. From newborns to retirees, RTT students receive wide exposure to comprehensive medical care in a community that needs and appreciates them.

Our medical residents are quickly embraced by the community, engaged with sports medicine and coaching of school athletic programs and are often involved with various local committees and boards. It is easy to see why so many graduates decide to base their careers in this community.

Providence Mount Carmel Hospital offers 24-hour emergency care, surgery services, labor and delivery, and other medical care services needed by their diverse patient-base. The community might be small, but its medical care is big. Here Family Medicine residents serve a vital role for the population of northeast Washington.

The Inland Northwest’s diverse environments span from mountains to deserts, rivers and lakes to urban centers and rolling farmlands. Spokane Teaching Health places Family Medicine residents at the heart of it all.
